COVID-19 has disrupted how we meet and communicate with each other. In a world where doing anything in person holds potentially serious risks, the incentive to go virtual wherever possible is huge. The impact of the lightning fast mass-adoption of video conferencing platforms in the wake of COVID-19 cannot be underestimated.
Our team has designed a workflow where our producers use video conference software like Zoom to access the webcams and smartphone cameras of guest speakers, and intake the video feeds from their devices into production software in our producers' home studios. This allows us to lay on elements like chyrons, name tags, transitions, closed captioning and pre-recorded footage into a broadcast before we send it out through social media channels.
We believe we have hit an innovation point with this workflow, and relish working with clients to push the envelope!
